As a licensed ITIL affiliate, the Foundation exams offered through ITIL Prime are accredited and proctored by CSME. ITIL Prime's affiliate status may be viewed here.
Ideal for those test takers who do not live near an accredited testing center, or who have schedules which make it difficult to take the ITIL Foundation exam in person. The online method is proctored by CSME, and can be taken from any computer with a webcam. This exam is identical in content and time limits to the in-person exam, such as those taken at Prometric.
For those who wish to take the ITIL Foundation exam in person, there are hundreds of eligible testing centers available worldwide. In-person exams are proctored by facility staff who are on site, and exam results are delivered immediately following completion of the exam. Certificates for those who pass the exam are sent out by mail within 10 business days.
